Family Specialists

Nina Howard, LCSW-S received her master’s degree in social work from the University of New England in Biddeford, ME. Nina's specialties include family dynamics and mood/anxiety/depressive disorders. Nina is collaboratively trained. She provides clinical psycho-legal services, including supervised and therapeutic parenting time as well as co-parenting therapy and Parent Coordination services. Nina is also a Friend of the Court. Nina enjoys working with families, particularly those experiencing transition. Nina has clinical experience in multiple settings which include: school-based therapy, community mental health, residential treatment and private practice. She is well-versed in evidence-based practices for mood-related disorders.

Nina is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the Association for Family and Conciliatory Courts. She also holds excellent professional relationships with many community partners. She does consultation/training and honorarium speaking engagements involving topics related to:

  • Adolescent brain development
  • Ethics in Social Work
  • Compassion fatigue and secondary trauma in the workplace
  • Conflict resolution
  • Mindfulness in the classroom
  • Parenting time supervisor training

Nina is able to supervise CSWs pursuing their independent license.
